Produção de conhecimento em regiões competitivas: uma abordagem baseada em modelos de variáveis latentes

Resumo

Neste documento propõe-se uma função de produção de conhecimento, baseada na medição de variáveis não observáveis, que fornece uma solução pratica para os problemas metodológicos nesta área de estudo. Nesse sentido, define-se uma função de produção de conhecimento que depende do capital humano, despesas de pesquisa e desenvolvimento, os spillovers e ambiente inovador. A função é estimada com a técnica partial least squares path modeling, que permite medir o efeito de variáveis não observáveis. Foi possível mostrar que essas construções (Variáveis latentes) são confiáveis e significativas; além disso, conclui-se que essa função descreve com precisão como o conhecimento é criado e explorado em uma região.
