Relação entre o gênero do diretor executivo e a aplicação da responsabilidade social corporativa

Este documento aborda o problema da possível influência do gênero do diretor executivo na incorporação da responsabilidade social corporativa. O objetivo foi estudar se existe relação entre essas variáveis. Foi utilizada uma metodologia quantitativa aplicada a um banco de dados com informações sobre a utilização de práticas gerais de gestão, das quais resultaram 107 praticas especificas de responsabilidade social corporativa. Para estudar a relação entre o gênero do diretor executivo e essas variáveis, foram utilizados os testes estatísticos qui-quadrado e diferença de médias. Constatou-se que, em geral, o género do diretor executivo não influencia a aplicação da responsabilidade social empresarial, com exceção de algumas ações filantrópicos e do uso do voluntariado empresarial.
