Impacto econômico da violência entre casais: o caso de duas empresas colombianas

O objetivo deste estudo foi visibilizar os custos econômicos que a violência contra a mulher tem para o setor empresarial a partir de uma perspectiva de gênero. Como parte de uma metodologia já desenhada, foram aplicados questionários previamente validados a uma amostra de 172 trabalhadores de duas empresas colombianas. O questionário avaliou o impacto da violência na produtividade do trabalho na perspectiva do agressor e da vítima, em termos de absenteísmo, atraso e presenteísmo. O custo da violência entre parceiros íntimos nas duas empresas foi de US$ 28.692,68 no ano passado. Esse montante em relação ao tamanho da amostra permite compreender a magnitude do problema e o impacto que tal violência teria no Produto Interno Bruto. Esses achados discutem-se.
