Bem-estar e felicidade: impactos da renda, riqueza e emprego no bem-estar subjetivo no âmbito urbano. O caso de Montevidéu

O bem-estar, seus componentes e determinantes têm retomado a importância na teoria econômica, tornando-se uma questão atual e significativa. Portanto, este estudo teve como objetivo determinar o impacto de três variáveis econômicas de bem-estar objetivo sobre a felicidade (bem-estar subjetivo) dos indivíduos, no ambiente urbano. Por meio de um modelo de regressão logística aplicado a dados da cidade de Montevidéu, observou-se que existe uma relação significativa entre renda, riqueza e desemprego de um indivíduo com a probabilidade de ele se autodeclarar feliz (positivo nos primeiros casos e negativo no terceiro). Os resultados obtidos permitem auxiliar na construção de políticas públicas quanto à relevância das variáveis consideradas.
