The aim of this article is to consider how the situation of vulnerability of informal workers in the city of Cali has been reflected in the pandemic. Attending this, Robert Castel’s perspective is taken into account since, according to the author, situations of vulnerability can become or contain dynamics of social exclusion. Thus, the contradictions inherent to affiliation and disaffiliation to the health and pension systems are taken as components of these dynamics.
