En este artículo se presenta QualDev-Software Process Improvement (SPI), una metodología para ayudar ala gerencia de empresas o departamentos de software peque˜nos y emergentes a implantar el CapabilityMaturity Model Integration (CMMI). El objetivo de esta metodología es aumentar la competitividad deestos grupos para que ofrezcan mayor calidad en sus productos y tengan mejores indicadores de produc-tividad. QualDev-SPI se basa en 3 principios: a) peque˜nos pasos para el mejoramiento alineados con losproyectos de desarrollo; b) procesos livianos apoyados en herramientas, y c) visibilidad a corto plazo delos beneficios. La metodología incluye un modelo de mejoramiento organizacional, una matriz de gradosde logro de las prácticas y un mapa de ruta que contiene una definición estandarizada de procesos y delas herramientas de apoyo que facilitan su puesta en marcha.Downloads
