This article reviews Lauchlin Currie´s ideas on poverty and income distribution. Currie was an economist who spent a lot of his time analyzing economic and social problems in Colombia. His work was dedicated to suggest different solutions to these problems. Currie´s suggested solutions to overcome poverty were characterized writings contributed to an interesting discussion about inequality among countries. This article focuses in these two aspects of Currie´s work.
